First job: During high school, I worked as a server at Keble College, part of Oxford University. They had the heaviest Wedgewood plates, and we had to serve 600 students every evening in the main dining hall.
Favorite ways to spend your free time in WI: In the spring and summer, spending my free time with family and friends outside at various events, outside dining, Brewers games, enjoying local wineries, walking the dogs. And in the cooler months hiking at John Muir Trail or Kettle Moraine.
Your biggest accomplishment and why: Being a single parent to a 5-year-old. Working full time and going back to school for my degree, which I completed in just under five years with a 3.98 GPA.
The biggest obstacle you overcame: At 24, leaving my family and friends to start a new life here in the US. Now I have an amazing network of friends that are my family here!
Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: There are many aspects of HR, before deciding on whether to focus on one particular area, explore a generalist role to experience multiple facets and develop skill sets.
