From attending the world’s largest music festival to visiting the Renaissance Faire for jousting and turkey legs, these fun-filled events should be on your calendar this summer in Wisconsin.

The world’s largest music festival, presented by American Family Insurance, is back for 2023 and bigger than ever this summer in Wisconsin with the celebration of its 55th year. This season’s lineup will feature seemingly endless artists, including Eric Church, Elle King, Sheryl Crow, Odeza, Earth, Wind & Fire, Yung Gravy, Vance Joy and many more throughout June and July. When attendees aren’t dancing the night away, they can expect to enjoy fare from local-only food trucks (including vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options), firework shows, lawn games, giveaways and more.

July 6 to July 9: Hodag Country Festival

Rhinelander

Save the date for the annual Hodag Country Festival in Rhinelander from July 6 to July 9. The country fest will showcase some of the best names in the genre, including Tyler Hubbard, Martina McBride, Niko Moon, Billy Dean and much more, over four days. This summer marks the show’s 45th year bringing live country music to the North. When guests aren’t singing their hearts out, they can feast thanks to food vendors, enjoy karaoke contests, visit merch tables and more.

Weekends from July 8 to Sept. 4: Bristol Renaissance Faire

Bristol

Don your favorite magical clothing and head to Bristol Renaissance Faire this summer in Wisconsin for an exciting outing taking place every Saturday and Sunday from July 8 to Sept. 4. The annual event features over 30 acres of fun to explore, including 20 different stages with unique shows, jousting tournaments, art and craft activities, traditional music, dancing, rides, parades and all of the oversized turkey legs your heart can take. 
Cost: Tickets vary depending on age and start as low as $15 for children and $40 for adults.

July 13 to July 16: Harley-Davidson Homecoming Festival

Milwaukee

With live music performances from some of the biggest names in music, including Foo Fighters, Green Day, Social Distortion and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, thrilling stunts from Nitro Circus and a variety of fun for all ages, Harley-Davidson Homecoming Festival is a must to attend this summer in Wisconsin. The four-day extravaganza will run from July 13 to July 16 in honor of the bike company’s 120th anniversary. A full-service bar and a multitude of food trucks will be on-site, in addition to merch vendors, a burger competition, model showcases and more. 
Cost:  General admission starts at $110 and varies depending on your choice of date.

July 13 to July 16: La Fête De Marquette

Madison

Calling all Madison locals to the city’s largest community event this summer, La Fête De Marquette, taking place in McPike Park from July 13 to July 16. The annual celebration is bigger than ever before, with additional main stages added for live music and performances, expanded food selections from your favorite food trucks, an assortment of vendors, a kid’s zone, giveaways and more. This special event showcases some of the best local talents our state has to offer and bringing the community together for a summer to remember.
