From family-friendly festivals and art fairs to a taco-and-margs bar crawl, there is fun on the agenda for everyone this holiday weekend. The following are five ways to celebrate Cinco de Mayo in Wisconsin. 

May 3 to May 5: Madison Symphony Orchestra: Fiesta Finale

Madison Symphony Orchestra will be celebrating Cinco de Mayo weekend with its Fiesta Finale performance. Performances are Friday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, May 4 at 8 p.m., and Sunday, May 5 at 2:30 p.m., in Overture Hall.

May 4: 10th Annual Latino Art Fair 

Madison

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo in Wisconsin during the 10th annual Latino Art Fair on Saturday, May 4, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Overture’s Promenade Hall and Terrace. Musical artists from throughout South-Central Wisconsin will perform traditional mariachi music and provide cultural musical instrument demonstrations. The event will also feature Colombian music and dance. Free to attend.

May 4: Milwaukee Tacos & Margs Crawl

Milwaukee

Get ready to party this Cinco de Mayo in Wisconsin and crawl through some of Milwaukee’s best bars and restaurants at the Tacos & Margs Crawl. The celebration begins at Third Street Tavern at noon for VIP guests and 2 p.m. for general admission on May 4. Party-goers will savor an assortment of tacos, handcraft margaritas, live entertainment and a professional photographer to capture it all. Other participating bars include Lucky Clover Irish Pub, Brothers Bar & Grill and more.

May 4: Cinco de Mayo Family Festival

Gather the family and head to UMOS Corporate Office in Milwaukee for the Cinco de Mayo Family Festival. The annual event will feature the fan-favorite Chihuahua beauty contest, tamale-eating contests, traditional Mexican fare, food trucks, carnival rides, live music performances and more on May 4 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Free to attend.

May 5: Cinco de Mayo Bash at The Wharf

Manitowoc

The Wharf Manitowoc will host the largest fiesta in Lakeshore on Sunday, May 5, 1 to 6 p.m., in honor of Cinco de Mayo in Wisconsin. The bash will feature live music from an eight-piece band specializing in Latin music, Grupo KN ZAVOR, in addition to salsa dancing, traditional fare, a Patrón Tequila pop-up bar and more.
