June 17: Juneteenth Celebration

Fond du Lac 

Grab the kids and head to Buttermilk Creek Park in Fond du Lac for Ebony Vision’s 15th year hosting its Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday, June 17, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The commemoration will boast a variety of activities and educational experiences for all ages, including performances by Milwaukee-based Ko-Thi African Dance Company, showcasing traditional African dances; raffle prizes and giveaways; activities for kids; vendors to discover; and soul food to indulge in.

June 17: 48th Annual Juneteenth Celebration

Racine

Save the date for the City of Racine’s 48th Annual Juneteenth Celebration on Saturday, June 17, at Dr. John Bryant Community Center. The festivities will kick off at 8 a.m. with a Juneteenth parade in Downtown Racine, leading up to the community center, where the party will continue from noon to 8 p.m. Activities include raffle gift basket giveaways; soul food; educational resources and games; economic and financial resources; mock interview and resume assistance; and much more.

June 17: Juneteenth in the Park

Madison

Back for its 34th year celebrating Juneteenth in Wisconsin, Kujichagulia Madison Center for Self-Determination is hosting Juneteenth in the Park on Saturday, June 17, at Penn Park. Guests unfamiliar with the event can expect its staple lineup of fun ways to experience the rich history of Black Americans through various forms of entertainment, including lectures, performances, exhibits, visual presentations, food, music and other activities. The celebration is free, and donations will be accepted to support Kujichagulia Madison Center for Self-Determination and its mission to unite the Black communities in Madison and fight racial issues.

June 18: Madison Jazz Festival: Juneteenth Celebration on the Terrace

Madison

Celebrate Juneteenth on the final day of the Madison Jazz Festival on Sunday, June 18, 2:30 to 9:30 p.m. This free event will feature 11 live music performances from local jazz artists and dancers. Be sure to grab some brats and a cold sip from the beverage tent before catching the shows, and stay after dark for a celebration with Rob Dz. Guests can expect performances from Alise Mosley, Mme Delali, NoNo (Norman Davis), Eli Blakley and many more.

June 19: Juneteenth Paint & Sip

Milwaukee

Explore Black history with the help of Vibez Creative Arts Space and enjoy wine and painting at its Juneteenth Paint & Sip on Monday, June 19. This creative event will allow participants to create their own Juneteenth-inspired masterpieces with the help of a professional painter who will guide individuals in the process. Painters will enjoy wine, cocktails and snacks while they work and connect with others this Juneteenth in Wisconsin. The class is suitable for all painting levels and is open to all ages.
