Hold My Beer Kenosha

Hold My Beer, Kenosha’s newest gathering spot in the heart of downtown 56th Street, is quickly becoming a popular place to eat, drink and play. With more than 50 local beverages available on the impressive beer wall, games galore and state-of-the-art ax throwing, there are options for everyone at Hold My Beer.

Start your experience with the unique, interactive self-pour tap system. Guests purchase “tap cards” with a specific amount, and let the pouring begin! With endless and ever-changing options of beer, seltzer, sours, nitro, kombucha and wine, you can choose from mere ounces, flights or full glasses of your favorites. We love the ability to experiment with small tastes of a little bit of everything. Owners Luke Faulkner and Meghan Mills are big on supporting local, evidence that every single beer and cider on tap is Wisconsin based and many from smaller local companies like Lake LouieMershon’sDuesterbeck’sHumble Forager and Public Craft, just to name a few.

The pour system technology is impressive. Each beverage has an individual touchscreen with information about the brewery/company and beverage alongside fun, interactive elements like can-crushing and kicking. The screen allows consumers to see where they are within their tap card budget as they go and can reload if needed and based on management discretion. Looking for a non-alcoholic option? Check out the beer cooler with a wide variety of zero-proof (and regular) beer and cider options, as well as soda.

Hold My Beer Kenosha also has a small snack menu to enjoy alongside the brews. The eats are also focused on supporting local with items like the giant 24-oz. pretzel from Milwaukee Pretzel Company, soup of the day locally sourced by Kenosha’s own From Scratch Bakery or handmade pizza.

Channel your inner lumberjack at one of six ax-throwing lanes. Guests can choose from one- or two-hour sessions, and each includes an additional 15-minute coaching instruction session. Instruction includes safety, three types of throwing techniques (including underhand!), ax removal, stance and a rundown of the various games to play. Ax lanes are powered by projectors (think golf simulation) and allow players to choose from fun games like Zombie Hunters, Duck Hunters and tic tac toe, as well as the traditional bullseye where the digital target moves after each round.

Not feeling like Paul Bunyan? No problem. Hold My Beer Kenosha provides plenty of free board games, a shuffleboard table and a deck of cards at every table. There is also a gaming area in the back room.

Hold My Beer Kenosha is a great open space for corporate outings, birthday parties or larger group outings. Free limited parking is available in the adjacent lot. Ax throwing is available for ages 10 and up, and group rates are also available. Closed-toe shoes are mandatory for any ax-throwing participants. Reservations to use an axe lane are not required, however, highly recommended. Walk-ins are welcome and are based on availability.
