Get cozy with a craft beer in hand at The Brewhouse Inn and Suites. Nestled in the heart of Milwaukee’s original Brewery District, guests are perfectly situated to learn about local culture, eats and drinks nearly around every corner. This boutique hotel is within walking distance of the bustling public market, dozens of breweries, performing arts venues and pro athletic stadiums.
“The Brewery District has an amazing history which begins more than 150 years ago with the Historic Pabst Brewing Company. Pabst closed the site in 1996 and the property sat vacant for over a decade. Today, the 21-acre campus spanning eight city blocks has been completely redeveloped from one of the nation’s largest beer manufacturing sites into Downtown Milwaukee’s newest mixed-use, sustainable and historic neighborhoods,” explains Erin Stenum, manager of The Brewery Neighborhood Improvement District.
“Each property has embraced the past by preserving and showcasing old artifacts including the original copper kettles in the Brewhouse Inn and Suites and the malt kilns in the District’s newest residential development, aptly named The Malt House. Even Milwaukee Brewing Company has a large neon Pabst sign which can be seen on brewery tours. From the Best Place at the Historic Pabst Brewery’s Beer History tour offerings to event spaces in Pabst’s original offices to Pabst’s return with the Pabst Milwaukee Brewery and Taproom in a historic cream city brick church built in 1873, there’s so much to experience here.”
After a full day out on the town, prepare to return to a spacious suite where each element of the room’s décor like massive showers and ergonomic furniture have been selected with your comfort in mind. Or upgrade to the Baron Loft for a truly unique experience—and view of the city sky line via arched windows and an outdoor terrace on the hotel’s top floor.
Linger in bed a tad longer than usual come dawn thanks to plush bedding, oversized mattresses and a complimentary pastry breakfast served in the lobby. After all, hot java and a fresh Danish is the ideal start to another day when more sightseeing—or beer tasting—is on tap!
