August 3 to August 13: Wisconsin State Fair

One of the largest state fairs in the United States, Wisconsin State Fair is set to return to West Allis for a week of celebrating the state’s culture, heritage and community spirit. The event will take place from August 3 to August 13, with a week of star-studded concerts, carnival rides and fried favorites.

This year’s Wisconsin State Fair will be in West Allis, on a sprawling fairground that covers 200 acres of land. The exciting event will run for several days, beginning August 3 and concluding August 13, offering visitors ample time to explore various attractions, exhibits, fair food and live performances.

Kicking off with a stellar musical lineup, Wisconsin State Fair is bringing a variety of different genres to the main stage, so there is something for everyone to enjoy. Headliners include Shaggy with Salt-N-Peppa (August 4), KIDZ BOP (August 8), Halestorm with New Year’s Day (August 9), Ludacris (August 11) and Lindsey Stirling (August 12), to name a few. Each performance is ticketed, with rates starting as low as $25, depending on the headliner. In addition to performances from your favorite artists, a comedy show from Jeff Dunham will take place on August 5, with tickets starting at $52.

Wisconsin is known for its dairy products, and visitors can indulge in a plethora of delicious treats like cheese curds, deep-fried cheese on a stick and creamy ice cream. But the fair doesn’t stop at dairy delights; it also offers a diverse selection of cuisines, including over 800 items to explore (like the highly sought-after Original Cream Puff) and 70 new unique additions to this year’s fare lineup. For foodie-focused visitors, be sure to attend the fair on Tuesday, August 8, for Crazy Grazin’ Day for discounts on your favorite fair food.

Agriculture is a major focus at Wisconsin State Fair. Livestock exhibitions showcase the finest examples of products from local farms, including over 7,00 animals, from cattle and pigs to sheep and horses. Visitors can see these animals up close, learn about different breeds and discover what it’s like to be a farmer in Wisconsin. In addition to livestock, there are also exhibits featuring crops, vegetables and more.
