Hometown: Elkhorn, Wisconsin

First job: Working at Parties Plus, my mom’s party supply and decorating store. I helped run the store, create balloon arrangements for events and even did some face painting at events.

Favorite ways to spend your free time in WI: I love to hike or be out on the water. I like to paddle board, and love Madison and the surrounding area for all of its beautiful lakes.

Your biggest accomplishment and why: My biggest accomplishment was stepping away from the security of my office job to start teaching yoga full time. I followed my passion, and it’s now been almost 10 years that I’ve been running my own business – which has evolved so much in that time!

The biggest obstacle you overcame: My biggest obstacle was getting through the pandemic. As a performer and fitness instructor, I was in two of the hardest hit industries. I did as many virtual performances as I could. I set up an outdoor aerial classroom in my backyard. I sewed over 100 stylish masks. Sometimes I didn’t know if I would make it through. But I stuck with my passion and this last year has actually been my busiest year with performing!

Someone who inspires you and why: My grandma has been one of my biggest inspirations. She always had a curiosity about everything and never stopped learning. She was a source of joy for so many, and because of her I like to say that my job in life is spreading joy.

Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Always remember your why. The passion for what I do is what carries me through all the ups and downs and the uncertainty. It isn’t an easy career, but truly loving what you do every day is worth it!

Favorite quote: “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” –Eleanor Roosevelt

Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: I was incredibly shy growing up. Nobody would have ever imagined me on stage in front of thousands of people!

What makes someone fabulous: Letting your true self shine.
