The Wisconsin State Fair

The annual Wisconsin State Fair is back and offers traditional family entertainment from Aug. 5-15.
Wisconsin State Fair Park in West Allis is the home for the Wisconsin State Fair, presented by UScellular. The first State Fair was held in Janesville along the banks of the Rock River in 1851. In the early years, the State Fair travelled to different cities each year until a permanent home for the event was found in 1892 at its present location.
In 2021, Wisconsin State Fair will celebrate 170 years of tradition and hope to once again welcome over one million Fairgoers over the course of its 11-day run.
It is the mission of the annual Wisconsin State Fair to celebrate agriculture and other industries paramount to Wisconsin’s rich history and promising future by producing family-friendly, affordable, safe and educational event for all ages and ethnicities, creating memories and traditions to be carried on for generations.
Activities and attractions can be found throughout the State Fair.
SpinCity amusement ride and game area, the Sky Glider that offers a bird’s eye view of the Fair, the Giant Slide that will elicit joyous giggles from all, a Central Park bustling with daily activities and so much more are all just a taste of the thrills offered at the State Fair.
Hundreds of food and beverage concessionaires are sprinkled throughout the Fair Park, featuring everything from the crazy concoctions entered in our Sporkies food competition to Wisconsin’s unofficial official food, deep-fried cheese curds.
The Fair’s signature food item is the world famous and delectably delicious Original Cream Puff, which has been sold at the Fair since 1924. Nearly 400,000 puffs are consumed annually!
