Il Cervo Celebrates One-Year Anniversary

Get your apron on. Il Cervo hosts a Beefsteak and Barbera Dinner to celebrate its one-year anniversary on May 9 in Milwaukee.

The rooftop restaurant will serve unlimited beef, wine and more, while guests wear an apron and eat with their hands in the style of a 19th century Beefsteak banquet on May 9 in the Deer District. In celebration of one year around the sun, Il Cervo will host a classic Beefsteak dinner: tables full of steak, wine flowing all night, cocktail flasks, and aprons provided while guests roll up their sleeves and eat with their hands—no napkins or silverware allowed. Originally a 19th century banquet style in New York City, Il Cervo is bringing Beefsteak to Milwaukee, and they’re ready to get rowdy.

Il Cervo plans to grill over 100 pounds of steak—tenderloin, tomahawk ribeye, and short rib—to mouthwatering medium rare, served on silver platters in half-inch thick slices. A variety of creative hors d’oeuvres, like King Crab Leg Corndogs and White Balsamic Cotton Candy, will be available during the 7 p.m. cocktail hour in the bar. At 8 p.m., guests will be seated in the dining room and served several sides of vegetables, sauces, and whole roasted John Dory whitefish—in addition to the beef.

Unlimited Damilano Barbera d’Asti wine will be pouring freely all night long. Guests will receive four cocktails served in glass flasks that will include Tito’s Handmade Vodka and Whistle Pig Rye Whiskey in a handful of crafted classics, from an elevated Salty Dog to Rye Paper Planes.

Tickets to the event include unlimited beef and wine, hors d’oeuvres and side dishes, four cocktails, a custom apron and wine glass, swag bag, and gratuity, at $250 per person. Tickets may be purchased individually at a community style table, or by full tables of four, six, eight or 12 guests.
