Madison Circus Space invites you to attend REFLEX on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m. Based on a series of stories about gravity, REFLEX is a one-of-a kind theatrical experience filled with stunning juggling sequences using Jay Gilligan’s unique inventions, props and machines.
Gilligan, one of the world’s most celebrated and beloved jugglers, seamlessly blends the ambition of human space exploration with the ancient art of juggling in REFLEX, drawing inspiration from the Voyager mission, the brilliance of Carl Sagan, and Gilligan’s personal connection to NASA. Throughout the 75-minute show, he channels stories from his impressive 38-year career and introduces a blend of traditional and avant-garde juggling techniques, crafting mesmerizing soundscapes and vivid imagery that evoke a deep cosmic connection. Audiences of all ages will be mesmerized by visual music and moved by the artistry of object manipulation.
REFLEX is written by Jay Gilligan and Frodo Santini and is directed by Lyndsay Aviner and Santini with juggling prop design by Drew Aslesen and original music by Book Kennison.
