Daddy D’s Christmas 2020
Daddy D Production celebrates its 14th year of performing traditional holiday favorites with a dash of contemporary flair for dinner shows all throughout the month of December. Knights on Broadway Christmas concert
The Knights on Broadway of St. Norbert College’s annual Christmas concert will go on but not with in-person audiences. For the first time in its 13-year history, the group will perform virtually for its “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” shows. Student performers, under the direction of Kent Paulsen, will wear masks and be socially distanced as they perform traditional carols and new arrangements. Festival of Trees
This annual showcase of more than 40 holiday trees will be decorated by local businesses, organizations and nonprofits, each with a different theme.The decorative event will be on display through Jan. 3 at National Railroad Museum. For more information, visit nationalrrmuseum.org.
Santa’s Rock N Lights
This drive-through holiday light display will feature approximately 100,000 lights on metal frames programmed to Christmas music that guests can listen to on their car radio as they travel a route just shy of a mile. Features include 700 feet of lighted tunnels, 20-ft. tall dinosaurs and 20-ft. wide peacocks on display through Jan. 3 at Brown County Fairgrounds. For more information, visit santasrocknlights.com.
Swing for the Holidays
The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Music has taken its 6:30 Concert Series virtual for the 2020-21 season. Concerts, each about 60 to 90 minutes, are live streamed from the Weidner Center on the performing arts center’s YouTube channel. A Frank’s Christmas
Let me Be Frank Productions presents its 21st annual holiday show. This year’s comedy musical finds Mrs. Claus hiring a diversity trainer named Frank Frost to modernize Santa and his crew with “Santa School sessions.” Cast includes Frank Hermans, Pat Hibbard, Amy Riemer, Lisa Borley, Tom Verbrick, Sarah Galati, Dennis Panneck, Tony Pilz and Andrew Klaus. Holiday Memories of Downtown Green Bay
This exhibit features the animated figures that once adorned the H.C. Prange’s department store windows, along with the Enchanted Forest, Snow Babies and forest animal collections. Bruce the Spruce, the talking Christmas tree beloved for chatting with Prange’s shoppers, is back this year as well but with limited hours: 5 to 7 p.m. Dec. 2 and Jan. 6; 10 a.m. to noon Dec. 5, 12, 19, 26, Jan. 2 and 9. The Children Only Shop is online with curbside pickup. The event will take place at Neville Public Museum of Brown County all throughout the month of December. WPS Garden of Lights
This season, Green Bay Botanical Garden will be transformed with more than 300,000 lights in nature-inspired displays viewed along one and a half miles of paths traveled by foot or horse-drawn wagon. Returning favorites for this year’s 24th event include the Icicle Forest and giant walk-through caterpillar, along with new attractions: a 60-ft. oak that rotates through the seasons in light, a winter wonderland of blues and purples in the Johnson Woodland garden and multicolor lights on trees in several areas. Winter Jubilee Light Show
The seven-minute mix of holiday-themed lights, animation, lasers, fireworks and music is projected on the west facade of Lambeau Field. It’s the centerpiece of the Titletown District’s annual Winter Jubilee celebration, which also includes Ugly Christmas Sweater Night Dec. 15 on the ice rink and holiday music performed by local musicians 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays in December on the east side of the rink.
