CEO and founder at Lola’s New Beginnings

Founded in 2020, Lola’s New Beginnings has worked to help support Wisconsin’s moms through every step of motherhood. From ensuring that clients can be baby-ready throughout pregnancy to providing healthy after-care options that empower women to feel more supported in their parenting, education and even career, Lola’s New Beginnings is committed to helping mothers be the absolute best they can be—with an even more incredible team of women behind them.

What motivates you to pursue this kind of philanthropy? Being a teen parent and experiencing the struggles of poverty was the first sign. Since we were younger, my mother was always helping others including opening our home for others to have a place to stay. Giving back and making a difference in our communities calls my name in a way I have never heard it pronounced.

Best advice for someone looking to give back and get involved in their community: Call Lola’s, of course! We have many opportunities at Lola’s to give back, and Lola’s is highly involved in community resource fairs and could use helping hands to get involved.

What impact do you most hope to leave on the world? I would like to leave an impact on moms in our community. Even though the struggle is real, they still do not have to do it alone. I want to show people that we can be here for each other, and it doesn’t mean you’re giving up the last dime in your pocket. Lending an ear or sharing a resource can change someone’s life and the cycles in their life that are not so promising.
