Hometown: Born in Baraboo, went to high school in Madison, and now I live in Milwaukee.

First job: I was a hostess at a Chinese restaurant in Madison when I was 15.

Favorite ways to spend your free time in WI: I love exploring the wilderness of Wisconsin, attending live music concerts/shows and baking.

Your biggest accomplishment and why: Being a single mom at 18 wasn’t easy but this year my son turned 18. We made it! And being his mom is my favorite “job” in the world.

The biggest obstacle you overcame: Being a single mom while getting two college degrees.

Someone who inspires you and why: My mom inspired me early on to chase my dreams and do what I love. Now I work in the beer industry, and I love what I do!

Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: I would keep applying even if you don’t feel 100 percent qualified. Keep learning. And stay positive!

Favorite quote: “If you don’t see a clear path for what you want, sometimes you have to make it yourself.” –Mindy Kaling

Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: I lived in a yurt without running water or electricity for about a year on a farm in Kentucky. It was the end of my 8th grade year and the start of my freshman year in high school.

What makes someone fabulous: I think what makes someone fabulous is having passion, being confident, being active in their community, giving (either time or goods) without expectation and loving the world you’re in and the people you’re sharing life with.
