How did your love story begin? Madi: I lived with my grandparents the summer of 2016 working as a bartender. We had crossed paths several times. But one night I ate at The Bear Trap on a Fish Fry Friday. Tom kept coming out of the kitchen, glances were exchanged. The rest is history.
Favorite thing about one another: Tom: Her love of dogs, travel and the way she loves me, even if I forget it’s a red wine-only dinner.
Madi: I love his passion for life, his ability to go into everything at full speed and his urge to keep trying new things. He’s exceptional at everything he does, and never ceases to amaze me.
Favorite date night: Going to our property, running the dogs, lighting a bonfire and popping a bottle of Champagne. Ending the night with a skinny dip under the stars.
Favorite tradition you have as a couple: Madi: Playing cribbage on every trip. (It’s in my purse 24/7).
Tom: We always bring each other coffee in the morning. Whomever gets up first, usually me.
What does your happily ever after look like? Continuing the legacy at The Bear Trap Inn. Building our forever home in Land O’ Lakes on the water. Spending a few months of the year in the Italian countryside.
