Femmestival

Femmestival, a celebration of culinary, visual and charitable arts, will take place Sunday, February 23, 2020, 11am to 6pm at Garver Feed Mill in Madison.

Women are a strong force in the culinary and arts scenes. However they continue to be underrepresented at major events which spotlight local talent in both sectors. Which is why the Culinary Ladies Collective in conjunction with Centro Hispano and Garver Feed Mill are hosting the inaugural Femmestival on February 23. The new event is meant to be an opportunity for entrepreneurs, artists and/or producers to explore the intersection of economic health and creative energy in a collaborative capacity.

“Femmestival is a celebration of womxn, femmes, non binary, and ally artists and artisans. We celebrate them by doing the work to make sure they have a space and the means to freely create and explore,” shares CLC co-founder Francesca Hong. “When organizers work with chefs and creators to create a more equitable and inclusive environment our community actually grows—and there is progress.”
