Cooking Class: My Life in France with Julia Child

Join Lake Geneva’s School of Cooking on April 5 as they celebrate the recipes and cuisine of Julia Child and honor her memoir, My Life in France, with a Julia Child-inspired cooking class for $150.

Julia’s goal was to make all home chefs feel comfortable and confident in the kitchen, and the Lake Geneva School of Cooking aims to do the same!

Enjoy a sparkling wine reception with Parmigiano Popovers as the Chef introduces himself, goes over some of Julia Child’s favorite recipes, and demonstrates some basic cuts and safety techniques before getting broken up into teams.

Then, the hands-on cooking begins as you slice, dice, chop, laugh, and dance while each team creates a delicious dish from the four-course menu under the guidance of the Chef and staff.

Once this hands-on class is complete, you will do as Julia did and take off your apron to enjoy the meal! As Julia would say, “Bon Appetit”!

Sample menu dishes include French onion soup, Caesar salad, chicken coq au vin, and chocolate mousse.
