Where to Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Wisconsin

Since St. Paddy’s Day celebrations had to be cut short last year, now we have all the more reason to really celebrate the holiday this time around. Luckily, Wisconsin’s social calendar is chock-full of unique activities and events that can be enjoyed all across the state. Here’s where you can celebrate St. Patrick’s Day 2021 in Wisconsin.

Lucky’s St. Patrick’s Day Crawl is slated for March 13 and will undoubtedly be one of the coolest—and booziest—days of the entire year. A purchased ticket to this Milwaukee event—which begins at 4 p.m.—includes one to two free drinks, a complimentary bottle opener keychain, a custom Lucky badge and lanyard, food specials at select “crawl” locations, professional photographers, and access to enter a $500 costume contest.

While Milwaukee’s big St. Pat’s parade is postponed this year, the Mooseyard St. Patrick’s Day parade is still set to move forward as planned. The parade line up is at the Shawano Lake Golf Course, and begins at 10 a.m. on March 13. The parade will actually begin at 11 a.m., and the famed party bus will run from 1 to 10 p.m.

The Country Inn Bar & Grill is hosting its own 2021 St. Patrick’s Day parade in Pickerel on Saturday March 13. Beginning at 11 a.m., the holiday parade will run from the Tombstone Pickerel Sno-Club Clubhouse on County Road DD to Saint Mary’s Church on Highway 55. After the parade, attendees are encouraged to stick around for the St. Patrick’s Day Dances at many of the local businesses.

Mo’s Irish Pub is hosting a St. Patrick’s 3-Day celebration because why not try to enjoy the holiday for as long as possible? To follow social distance guidelines, the pub has divided their party up into three separate celebrations. A purchase of the VIP ticket gets you locked in for a full day of fun and madness on Wednesday, March 17. The event will have Kegs & Eggs, Irish dancers, bagpipers and other live music performers from The Majik Trio at 3 p.m. to Brother Grimm at 8 p.m.

Several organizations are hosting St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in Brookfield. Fred Astaire Dance Studio is hosting a virtual St. Patrick’s Day Social Dance Party, beginning at 8:20 p.m. on March 11. And the Elite Sports Club is also hosting a St. Patrick’s Day Party from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on March 13.

The New Dublin Irish Fest will take over downtown New London beginning March 15 and continuing on through March 19. The schedule of events will include a Leprechaun Day, the introduction of an authentic Irish dish (corned beef and hash) which will begin being served this week only at Pup’s Irish Pub and Pine Tree Supper Club. Finally, a tentative caroling celebration will take place on the actual St. Patrick’s Day holiday and will include carolers walking about town singing traditional Irish sing-along songs.

And finally, the Madison Shamrock Shuffle has transitioned to a virtual celebration—meaning that people can participate from anywhere and really any time. Every year, the Madison Shamrock Shuffle raises thousands of dollars that benefits the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County. To date, the event has helped to raise over $300,000. And the event’s organizers are hoping for the same kind of success this go-around, as well. So, grab your running shoes and work off all those post-St. Patrick’s Day beer calories.
