Head north to Hodag Country in Rhinelander to the 18-hole municipal course of Northwood Golf Club. This peaceful and secluded Wisconsin golf course has been providing an authentic “up north” experience since 1989 with rolling hills, mature trees and ancient rocks, all typical of the area’s landscape. Stop into the log-themed clubhouse and dining area after the round to enjoy tradition Wisconsin eats like cheese curds and fish fry.
What we find fabulous: Keep an eye out for the painted Hodag Rock along the course, which offers a fun photo opportunity.
