Located north of St. Germain, Plum Lake golf course is one-of-a-kind with each hole offering a unique experience. The storied nine-hole Wisconsin golf course opened in 1912, and history runs deep here. In its early days, horses used to mow the fairways and the clubhouse was quite the social hub in Plum Lake. Hole No. 4 sits 20 feet below the fairway and is a favorite among golfers. Hole No. 9 has a blind tee shot and players should wait to tee off until they hear the dinner bell ring below, noting that the course is cleared by players ahead of them.

What we find fabulous: Relax and enjoy the lake sights and sounds from the historic clubhouse’s famed wraparound porch.
