The Harley Davidson Museum Announces Expansion

The Harley-Davidson Museum in Downtown Milwaukee announces its campus expansion that will enrich each guest’s experience with two new retail stores, a private event space and an inspiring gallery.

The Harley-Davidson Museum’s (H-D Museum) expansion is slated to open in early Spring 2022. The spot, known as a must-visit for locals and visitors to Milwaukee alike, will provide guests with even more fun and even more of a reason to stop and visit the motorcycle mecca.

Guests can anticipate 8,000 square feet of brand new event space, perfect for private parties and gatherings, with 14-ft. floor-to-ceiling windows that open to views of Downtown Milwaukee’s cityscape and waterfront views of Menomonee River.

The beloved retail shop is getting a makeover that will triple its size and will offer item customization stations, complimentary rides for little ones and feature 150 new merchandise items to choose from and take home with you. In addition to the retail store, another shop will also open on the campus offering discontinued motor clothing products like helmets, gloves, jackets and more. The spot is the only one of its kind and will also feature vintage items.

The last addition to the museum will be a revitalized gallery made up of exhibits and impressive collections inspired by rides that turned dreams into reality, and the epic journeys you can only experience behind the bars of a Harley-Davidson.

“For nearly 15 years, we have been thrilled to welcome guests from around the globe,” says Bill Davidson, great-grandson of one of Harley-Davidson’s four founders and vice president of the H-D Museum, in a press release. “This investment signifies our commitment to Milwaukee and the Menomonee Valley. With Milwaukee making its mark on the global stage, we’re excited to unveil these new additions to campus later this spring and welcome everyone to check them out in person.”
