Spring Break Escapes

Take on the bluffs in Baraboo

Just south of Wisconsin Dells lies Baraboo, a charming town known for its quirky circus heritage and historic downtown. At the same time, this glacial gem is also a dreamy destination for hikers. Devil’s Lake State Park, Wisconsin’s biggest state park, offers springtime views straight out of a postcard from its many quartzite bluff peaks. Plus, almost 30 miles of hiking paths, lakefront picnic sites, beaches and year-round nature activities are available to guests. Pewit’s Nest is another hiker’s paradise thanks to its shaded cliffs, waterfall vistas and pine-lined paths. Or, if you’re more of a beginner, Baraboo’s Riverwalk is an ideal spot for a leisurely stroll before taking on a more daring route.
