Fall is what many locals believe is the best time to be on Madeline Island. The third weekend in October (Oct. 16) is always the Family Fall Fest on Madeline Island. This is a festive time for families to take advantage of the last good weather of the season and enjoy the vivid fall colors on a spectacular island setting.
