This 70-minute guided indoor/outdoor walking tour (note, there are stairs) features stops at the Brew House, Historic Caves, Bavarian Style Miller Inn, and Packaging and Distribution centers. A two-hour historical tour is also an option for those wanting to explore Miller’s nearly 170-year history of brewing in Milwaukee.

New Glarus Brewing Company’s Hard Hat Tour offers a unique glance at one of the most widely known local breweries every Friday at 1 p.m. (holidays excluded). The three-hour Wisconsin brewery tour pairs you with a Brewery Ambassador who’ll guide a behind-the-scenes look of both breweries. Each tour kicks off at the original brewery location (Riverside), and the tour group then heads to the Hilltop brewery to continue the tour. A private beer and cheese pairing follows the tour.

Another big name in local brewing, Leinenkugel’s offers a must-do Legacy Brewery Tour, which invites guests to learn about its 156 years of beer brewing and six generations of Leinenkugel family history. Or try out of the newer Wisconsin brewery tours, like the Pilot Brewery Tour & Behind the Scenes Tour with Matt Leinenkugel or the Historical Grounds Tour. All tours start at the Leinie Lodge, where visitors can browse historical photos and vintage brewing equipment and shop Leinie’s beer gear and collectibles.
