Hometown: Milwaukee

First job: My first job was at the state fair (Spaghetti Eddie’s). I was 13 and worked ever since.

Favorite ways to spend your free time in WI: I love spending my free time with my three babies, two pups and husband out on our boat.

Your biggest accomplishment and why: My biggest accomplishment would be being a stay-at-home and building a six-figure business out of nothing. It started with an ad in Craigslist with a drive to be able to have a career that allowed me to be a mother and a provider. My goal at the time was to help care for a family of five, not knowing that God had bigger plans than just providing. I now have a team of nine and my stylists have extra income as well.

The biggest obstacle you overcame: About seven years ago, I was taking care of my brother who had been in a horrible motorcycle accident that left him in a vegetative state. I became his guardian while running a business, being a mom, a wife, and running a cleaning business all at once. If that wasn’t enough on my plate already, I had dropped my kids off at school, went to give my brother a bath at the facility he was in, did a hair and makeup trail and went shopping for my daughter’s birthday stuff, when my car and all my supplies and daughter’s party stuff was stolen from me. My brand new car was gone. And everything I took five years to build–all gone. So that was my biggest stumble, but I got back up and started building again. It’s like the bible says. anything taken from you God replaces seven times and he sure did show up! Here I am 10-plus years in my business, top artist in Milwaukee and a team of nine. Couldn’t ask for more!

Someone who inspires you and why: Women inspire me, women pushing through, being bosses. Juggling motherhood, business, home, family and everything a woman does. Strong women make me want to strive for more.

Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Put yourself into it. Put only you out there, be yourself, and realize you’re offering a service that changes people’s lives, a service that makes women feel amazing about themselves, a service that only you can provide regardless of how many other women are doing the same thing you do. Be your best self, improve day by day, and remember you always have more to learn!

Favorite quote: “Fear kills more dreams then failure ever will.” –Suzy Kassem

Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: I am not a makeup junkie. I give the best to my clients but I am so basic with myself.

What makes someone fabulous: Loving yourself and loving others, period.
