Hometown: Richfield, Wisconsin

First job: I started my culinary career as a dishwasher at a restaurant called Jerry’s Old Town Inn in Germantown.

Favorite ways to spend your free time in WI: Spending time with my wife, Julie, and our newborn son. I also enjoy golfing in our warmer months of the year.

Your biggest accomplishment and why: Becoming the executive chef at Harbor House. This role is a culmination of hard work, attention to detail and building great relationships. This role was a goal set a long time ago, and it is a great feeling to accomplish it. I am very excited for what the future holds. 

The biggest obstacle you overcame: The passing of my mother and sister. I carry their spirit with me, and I try to make them proud every day. 

Someone who inspires you and why: Jocko Willink, a former NAVY SEAL who is my favorite author. He inspires me to continue to challenge myself every day and remind me that we can always get better. 

Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Ask questions. It’s OK to not know something. Be comfortable with being uncomfortable; that’s where growth happens.

Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: I am an avid fantasy baseball and football player.
