Hometown: I am originally from Springfield, Mass., and went to Boston College in Chestnut Hill Massachusetts.

First job: Dishwasher at Friendly’s Ice Cream was my first job.

Favorite ways to spend your free time in WI: I enjoy hiking and walking the beautiful forests and prairies in Wisconsin.

Your biggest accomplishment and why: My greatest accomplishments were in helping to raise two beautiful children and in providing care for my elderly parents in their final years.

The biggest obstacle you overcame: Recovering from major back surgery was the greatest obstacle that I overcame.

Someone who inspires you and why: The person who has inspired me the most is Wells Crowther, who was the Man in the Red Bandana, who sacrificed his own life to save countless others in the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center during 9/11.

Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Learn the details. Work hard. Lead from a moral center. Embrace discontent and welcome new ideas.

Favorite quote: “There is no greater love than to lay down your own life for that of a fellow man.”

Something someone would be surprised to learn about you: People would be surprised to know that I was a tennis professional when I started my career.

What makes someone fabulous: In my opinion, the characteristics that makes a person fabulous is the ability to help others and to forgive others and to practice gratitude.
