Your biggest accomplishment and why: Cooking at the James Beard House. This is like going to the Oscars for a chef as not many chefs have accomplished this. I have done it not once, but three times with a team of four other chefs. During the third time, I was a lead chef. The best experience ever!
The biggest obstacle you overcame: Shyness.
Someone who inspires you and why: My mother. She taught me the basics of cooking at the early age of 5. I stood by her side when she cooked and I watched. Her love for food and how she cooked inspired me to do what I always wanted to be: a chef.
Advice to someone pursuing a career path in what you do: Have thick skin and be a sponge and soak all that knowledge in.
