Madison Foodie Finds

Based in Madison, Alexandra David has garnered a reputation for herself as a bonafide foodie—in part, thanks to her colorful social media presence that documents her merry adventures as she navigates her way through the city (and state’s) bustling food and drink scene.

Your go-to spot for an authentic taste of Wisconsin’s unique cuisine: When I think of Wisconsin food, I immediately think of cheese curds. One of my favorite spots for cheese curds in Madison is Graze!

Biggest misconception about being a blogger/influencer in the food space: Some people think that I eat out every day and that my feed posts are always in real time. Though I sometimes do eat something and then create a post about it on that same day, it is not uncommon for me to eat somewhere and then post about it days or even weeks later.

One thing you’d like to see change (or rather, see more of) in Wisconsin’s restaurant offerings: I think it would be great to have more interactive experiences at restaurants and with chefs. For example, cooking classes, chef demonstrations or themed/seasonal dinners could all be fun ways to get immersed in the foodie community.

A Wisconsin-based chef or restaurateur who inspires you and why: Chef Dan Fox has an ability to combine unique ingredients together and to make incredible tasting dishes. This has inspired me to be more adventurous in selecting ingredients when cooking for myself.
