How did your love story begin? Luke: We originally met in 2013 when Jennifer joined a gym where I was a coach. Yes, I was her trainer. We didn’t think much of it at first, but then after a couple months, we found out we went to the same church and started spending time together. On one of our first dates, we went mini golfing. I’m pretty sure she beat me. One thing I learned very early on in our relationship is we’re both very competitive.
Favorite thing about one another: Luke: She’s a very family-centric person who cares deeply about helping others. She’s a wonderful mother to our two beautiful children, Christian and Charlotte, and a great partner in life. Jennifer: Besides his very deep voice, he’s a very driven person. He gives his best at everything he does, whether it’s playing dinosaurs with our son, Christian, or helping his clients achieve their fitness goals.
Favorite date night: We often joke that we like to get the early-bird special on our date nights. Usually our date nights start around 4:30 or 5 p.m. and are done by like 8 p.m. That’s what happens when you have young kids. We enjoy going out to dinner (Wonder Bar is our favorite spot) and then doing some sort of activity, even if it’s just strolling through the Arboretum on a nice night.
Favorite tradition you have as a couple: We don’t really have any specific traditions, but we always make sure to spend time with each other every day, even if it’s watching a show together at night and talking about our days. We always want to make sure we’re on the same page.
What does your happily ever after look like? We’re very intentional about living our lives by design. We desire to raise a happy and healthy family and provide a good life for our kids while giving back to our community as much as possible. Professionally, we want to continue to pursue our passions in owning our own businesses and investing in real estate. In our relationship, we want to continue to be good partners for each other and always support each other in our pursuits of what makes us happy individually.
