Festival City Symphony

January 28 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Both newbies and seasoned symphony fans are welcome at the Saturday Classics concert series. Returning on Saturday, Jan. 28, the Festival City Symphony will bring music to Milwaukee.

This concert series offers high-quality classical music to everyone and is held at the opulent and welcoming Bradley Symphony Center. This concert’s theme will be Beethoven’s Debut: with Pianist Jeannie Yu. Beethoven’s Second Piano Concerto, the music he chose to introduce himself to Vienna, will be performed by pianist Jeannie Yu once more. In an all-Beethoven performance, the orchestra will also perform the stirring Coriolan Overture and the cherished Seventh Symphony.

At 1:45 pm in the Gallery, music instructor Lynn Roginske will deliver a Children’s Program Notes presentation for families before the concerts. The Festival City Symphony’s professional musicians will then deliver classics by well-known composers at 2:00 p.m. under the direction of Music Director Carter Simmons.

Admission to Saturday Classics concerts is free with a suggested donation.
