Wisconsin State Fair

Taking place August 5 to August 15, the Wisconsin State Fair has returned for its 170th year in West Allis. Visitors can expect to enjoy a variety of thrill rides, countless food options and exciting live entertainment throughout all 10 days.

Kicking off the fair with a stellar musical lineup, the Wisconsin State Fair is bringing a variety of different genres to the main stage so there is a little something for everyone to enjoy. Some big headliners include Chris Young (August 6), Billy Idol (August 8), Brothers Osborne (August 11), Gabriel Iglesias (August 12), The Beach Boys (August 14) and many more.

Traditional fried favorites will make an appearance, in addition to a new fair menu for 2021, with more 70 dishes being served on a stick! You can find sweets, like the Triple Cookie Dough on a stick (it is exactly what it sounds like) to more heart-stopping savory tastes like the Polish Puppies on a stick (deep-fried hush puppies stuffed with Klement’s jalapeno polish, onions, sauerkraut and cheddar cheese). There are over 100 food spots, so be sure to come hungry!

Among all the food, games and concerts, you will find SpinCity housed in the center of the grounds, where thrilling rides, games and rest areas can be found. SpinCity features 40 rides, including thrilling adult adventures and rides for little ones to enjoy as well. Carnival-style games are available, too, with chances to earn fun prizes.

The fair’s admission starts at $14 per day for ages 12 and up; and $9 for seniors, kids older than five and military personnel.
