Wisconsin Voting Rights Advocates Host Screening of All In: The Fight for Democracy

On Jan. 28, Menikanaehkem, an Indigenous lead organization, along with several co-hosts, hosts a screening of the new film, All In: The Fight for Democracy, followed by a panel discussion with Wisconsin leaders advocating for voting rights.

On Jan. 28 at 6:15 p.m. CST (7:15 p.m. EST) to 9 p.m. CST (10 p.m. EST), the public is invited to take park in the screening of All In: The Fight for Democracy, a film that examines the often-overlooked yet insidious issue of voter suppression in the United States. With the perspective and expertise of Stacey Abrams, the former Minority Leader of the Georgia House of Representatives, the documentary offers an insider’s look into laws and barriers to voting that most people don’t even know are threats to their basic rights as citizens of the United States, according to the press release.

Following the film, participants can take part in a panel discussion with Wisconsin leaders advocating for voting rights and helping voters get to the polls for every upcoming election. The screening event is hosted by Menikanaehkem, an Indigenous lead organization, and co-hosts, the NAACP WI State Conference of Branches, Voces De La Frontera, A-LEGO, Hmong American Women’s Association, Souls to the Polls Milwaukee, Mothers Against Gun Violence, WI Anti-Violence Efforts and Building Unity.
