Restaurant of the Week: Bodegón

Bodegón restaurant at the historic Hotel Madrid in downtown Milwaukee is a fine dining experience that focuses on the rustic cuisine of Spain.

Located in historic Walker’s Point, this over 100-year-old building has a rustic, inviting atmosphere. Bodegón combines home cooking with fine dining for a truly authentic Spanish dining experience.

The beverage program alone makes Bodegón worth a visit. They have one of the most select wine cellars in the city, a list of vermouths from around the world, craft beers and cocktails focused on what was found in the most prestigious hotels of Spain in the 1930’s. The cocktail menu is designed as an Index of cocktails with both descriptions and little sketches of the cocktail. The Cosmopolitan, which is blended like a smoothie, was one of our favorites.
