RED in Madison, just steps from the Capital, is an Asian Fusion restaurant, serving high-quality sushi, sashimi and rolls, entrees, sake, craft cocktails, wine and beer in a vibrant atmosphere.
Opening in 2011, RED offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The interior is eclectic and modern with red accents throughout. For lunch, there is a small patio off the dining room, perfect when the weather is nice. There is also a beautiful courtyard that is open for dinner. Both the patio and courtyard are dog-friendly.
To start your meal, the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice or the Brussels Sprout Petals are our top two picks from the”Plates to Share.” Other shared plate options include Edamame, Grilled Shishito Peppers and Wagyu Tartare.
For entrees, RED offers both sashimi and sushi rolls as well as Ramen, Salmon and Steak. Their list of sushi rolls is impressive with a long list of Signature rolls, Traditional rolls and Seasonal rolls. There are also vegan rolls, cooked rolls and riceless rolls. There is really something for everyone at RED.
RED also has a variety of vegetarian options and can accommodate other dietary restrictions such as gluten-friendly modifications.
Happy hour is available Monday through Thursday from 4:30pm to 6:30pm at the cocktail bar and patio (weather permitted).
